Biography of Carol Christopher-Brophy
Born and raised in Westport Connecticut, Carol joined United Airlines as a Flight Attendant in 1972 and became a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 1985. At this writing she is the mother of three adult children and six grandchildren.
In 1995 Carol was diagnosed by a team of doctors including a Yale Rheumatologist with having a rare form of Rheumatoid Arthritis called Still's Disease.
Her Yale doctor informed Carol that she would be living on heavy duty medications such as Prednisone and Methotrexate for the rest of her life, and that's when Carol said, "No Way," and began to search out alternative treatments for her symptoms.
A friend of Carol's introduced her to
Dr. Michael Mendribil ND of Greenwich, Connecticut, who subsequently introduced Carol to the health benefits of rebounding, and that was the beginning of Carol's transformation from not being able to even walk to the bathroom by herself to weaning herself off of toxic medications and creating a workout routine for the rebounder; now known as
Carol's Health Bounce tm.
"When I realized that rebounding was indeed the best non-impact aerobic exercise in the world, and that it was even endorsed by NASA, it became my very passionate mission to educate the public about all its many health benefits, and also to show everyone how much more FUN it can be than even just bouncing up and down!"
Carol brought four of the top brand rebounders into her Fairfield, Connecticut kitchen and corralled her three children (ages 12,17, and 20 at the time) to jump on them and then give her some feedback on each rebounder. The one that she did NOT want to like, because it was the most expensive, was made in The USA and on all accounts was far superior to the others, and it did not take long for Carol's three children to respond with a resounding "THIS ONE!!!"
"This rebounder was soft in bounce and I felt like I was bouncing on a cloud. It was sturdier than all of the other brands, and it came with a lifetime warranty. Now, if I could only get THIS same company to make THIS same rebounder for MY company, I would be so proud to sell it to clients who want the best in rebounding!!! Dreams DO come true, and that was proven to me when the Needak mfgr company began making Carol's Health Bounce Rebounders in 1996."
Presently Carol continues to be an advocate for the Health Benefits of Rebounding while she spends as much of her free time as possible working (on a volunteer basis) as the assistant director of *The Christian Care Center in West Palm Beach Florida.
* Christian Counseling, food, and clothing are given to those in need.
